Hungarian extremists in Romania will celebrate on Saturday, 11 of September, in the town of Miercurea Ciuc, publicly the Hungarian fascist leader, admiral Horthy Miklos, despite the fact that the law prohibits promoting fascism With the approval of Mayor Raduly Robert, a member of the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR) (Raduly is a sympathizer of Hungarian extremism) and police chiefs and gendarmerie in Miercurea Ciuc, in Harghita county, on Saturday, there will be a parade with the Hussars (Hungarian soldiers) to celebrate the invasion of Transylvania by the troops of the fascist leader, admiral Horthy Miklos back in September 11, 1940.
Hungarian extremists from local branches of extremist organizations forbidden in Hungary such as Youth Movement of 64 counties (HVIM), Székely National Council from Ciuc and Hussar Association from Ciuc will organize on Saturday, in Miercurea Ciuc, a series of events to celebrate 70 years of the invasion of Romania and the occupation of the city on September 11, 1940, following the Vienna Diktat, by the Hungarian troops, lead Admiral Horthy Miklos, the Hungarian fascist leader.
The program of this celebration of the installation of Horthyist-fascist Hungarian occupation in Transylvania following the Vienna Diktat from August 30, 1940, will start at noon, on Saturday, with a gathering at the grave of a native of Miercurea Ciuc, Kopacz Bela, accidentally killed during the Horthy’s entry into the city, followed by a parade of troop of hussars ride from railway station to city center, where a new rally will take place, with speeches, poems and “patriotic” songs.
After that, in the evening, in the at the Culture House, the celebrating the establishment of occupation of Horthy’s fascism in Transylvania will conclude with a lecture on his life and work, supported by literary historian Laszlo Tompo. Antifascist organizations from Romania or abroad had no reaction so far to this celebration in Romania of the Hungarian fascist leader Horty Miklos.
