The whole of Romania was shocked by the gesture of Hungarian extremists which, last month, covered with garbage bags the tens of crosses of the Romanian heroes placed by the City Hall of the city of Dărmănești, Bacău County, inside the International Memorial Cemetery of Uz Valley. The Hungarian extremists posted videos of their gesture on social media.

The gesture of Hungarian extremists caused indignation all over the country. Normally, these people should be investigated for defilement. It remains to be seen if the judiciary authorities will close their eyes this time as well to the provocations of the Hungarian extremists.
On the 6th of June, more than 2000 Romanians participated in the public event dedicated to the Memorial Day in the International Memorial Cemetery of Uz Valley, a cemetery where more than 1300 soldiers are buried (Romanians, Hungarians, Germans, Austrians, Italians and Serbians), soldiers that fell during the first and second world wars (details here).
After the religious service, to which a synod of priests participated, the Romanians lighted candles at the crosses of the Romanian soldiers buried there. They did the same thing at the crosses of the Hungarian soldiers buried in Uz Valley.
Romanians responded to the outstanding provocation of the Hungarian extremists, incited by DAHR (UDMR in Romanian) leaders, with peace and love.
Eternal Glory to the Heroes of the People!
